\par
\cf0\b0\f1 *********************************************************************************************** \par
Highland Airways are a fairly new charter airline operating from bases at Glasgow and Inverness,\par
Scotland. They operate quite a number of aircraft, including the Cessna 404 and the BAe Jetstream 31 \par
and they can also call on the services of their parent company, Atlantic Airlines of Coventry (operators of the DC3 and DC6).\par
In addition to normal charter work, the company have contracts for the carrying of newspapers to the \par
Orkney and Shetland Isles, and they operate a thrice weekly charter service for British Aerospace\par
carrying personnel between Glasgow and Bristol (Filton).\par
An associate company carries out remote sensing and aerial reconnaissance, and operates the northern base \par
of the Marine Coastguard Agency's Pollution Control Contract (using Cessna 404s).\par
This particular aircraft, a Dornier 228-200, is leased from Aerocondor of Portugal, and still carries \par
their colour scheme and registration.\par
 \par
The FS Aircraft\par
\par
I saw this aircraft a couple of weeks ago, and knowing that Martin Baclawski and Tony Bolton's Dornier \par
was a very good model,I had always been looking for one to paint which would be appropriate to my home \par
area. This seemed to fit the bill nicely. It didn't take very long to do, but I think it looks quite \par
accurate comparing it with my photos of the original. Funnily enough, just as I was finishing it off, \par
I looked on Avsim's site to see what other Dorniers were available. The earliest one I could find, and \par
presumably it might have been the original model, was of this very aircraft! (But with Aerocondor titles)\par
The diagonal lettering of the word 'Aerocondor was actually slightly better than mine, but I kept with \par
my own and spent another hour or so tidying it up!\par
Like many FS aircraft, the colour blue might not work correctly in Hong Kong, Macau and Japan - but why \par
would you go there with it anyway!\par
The panel and sounds supplied with the zip are not really appropriate. You should download \cf1\b\f0 do288rpp.zip \cf0\b0\f1\par
(note-288 NOT 228!)for the panel and \cf1\b\f0 do228sn2.zip \cf0\b0\f1 for the sound. Between them, they are 2.8MB, which is \par
why they are not included here! Both of these files are available at www.flightsim.com, and other places \par
too,I imagine.\par
\par
\par
CREDITS\par
\par
Martin Baclawski and Tony Bolton originally made this aircraft, and the flight dynamics and moving parts of \par
this particular model are by Vangelis Hassiotis. Thanks to them! Thanks also to Chuck Dome for TEXBMP2, which\par
makes re-paints possible. \par
\par
 LEGAL NOTES\par
\par
This aircraft model is an enhancement for Microsoft's Flight Simulator 98. It is\par
Freeware and must not be sold under any circumstances, either singly or as part of\par
any software package whatsoever. All the various elements of the model are the \par
copyright of the creator of that element, who has agreed to its free distribution\par
as part of this file only. \par
In particular the repaint is my copyright and I will not give permission for\par
my work to be sold. \par
\par
NOTE: Nothing in this zip file will harm your computer; however, by installing the plane\par
you accept the risk. \par
\par
INSTALLATION\par
\par
Unzip the file (using Winzip or similar) into a temporary folder or, at your own\par
discretion, straight into the AIRCRAFT folder of FS98. I have tested it with Winzip v.7,\par
and it zipped staight in, but I tried Winzip 8 previously with another aircraft, and it\par
installed it in the 'aircraft' folder but still inside the folder which I use to zip it up.\par
If you are not confident that your unzipping software will keep the stored folders intact,\par
use a temporary folder, and create the aircraft file as follows:-\par
\tab put all the .AF files in a new folder called 'texture'(without the inverted commas)\par
\tab put all the mdl.files, PLUS the notepad or Word file called 'model' in a new folder\par
      called 'model'\par
\tab put the notepad or Word file called 'panel' in a new folder called 'panel'\par
put the notepad or Word file called 'sound'in a new folder called 'sound'\par
\tab delete the file called FILE_ID - you dont need it any more\par
\tab delete the image file for the same reason\par
Make a new folder called 'Highland Airways Dornier 228-200'(or possibly something a bit\par
shorter!)and put everything inside it; then put this folder into the AIRCRAFT folder of FS98. \par
Start FS98 and the aircraft should be there! Have a quick flight then start looking for the \par
new panel and sound!\par
\par
.\par
Have fun flying!\par
